In the mountains of ancient Algeria lived a beautiful girl named Lounja, raised by the fearsome Ghoula. Despite growing up in darkness, Lounja's heart remained pure and bright as the morning star. Every day the Ghoula would lock Lounja in a tower and forbid her from looking at the world below. But from her window, Lounja watched the birds fly free and dreamed of the day she too would soar. One dawn, a brave young man heard her singing and climbed the mountain to find the source of that magical voice. When their eyes met, both knew that courage and love could break any curse.
